This October you can find here at the magazine a movie recommendation, hope you guys enjoy this variety of halloween movies T3 members recommend!

Halloween Ends is not a film for anyone squeamish. The beginning has quite a shocking scene. It sticks to its usual blood spill, however, this film does take on a new storyline which personally I really enjoyed, not only was this enjoyable for the old fans (like me) it gave a different story to new viewers. Jamie Lee Curtis is fantastic as she has been in every Halloween, she does give a rough catch-up in case you missed a couple. The ending of Michael Myers was very well done. I don’t want to give any spoilers but I do highly recommend it. Just hear in mind this is not for the faint-hearted, I am a horror queen and even I had to close my eyes on a couple of bits. Enjoy and happy Halloween x

No Through End by indracole3 on YouTube is such a something you should check! I’m a HUGE horror fan and with all the movies I’ve watched, I don’t get scared or unsettled as easily as I used to, but No Through End had me on my toes and was the first short film to ever make me feel uneasy. The music, the acting, the build-up, the tension, and it was uploaded over a decade ago and still giving goosebumps. This is also written by a college kid and hands down better than some of the horror films that come out. Highly recommended!!! especially during the spooky season.

Monsterville: The Cabinet of Souls is a movie I can highly recommend this movie to be seen in these Halloween seasons, it has a bit of everything, it is a youth movie with a bit of fiction that will make you travel to another world when you see it. You can find it on HBO Max.

Something wicked this way comes

Whether it be the thrill of a good horror or a little bit of fun and nostalgia, there’s nothing better than watching a good movie during the Halloween season. One of my all-time favorite movies during this season is an amazing combination of both creep factor and nostalgia. It’s Disney’s 1983 adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s novel “Something wicked this way comes”. This is about two 13-year-old best friends Will Halloway and Jim Nightshade as they encounter a mysterious, diabolical traveling carnival that suddenly appears in their quiet midwestern town. As any Disney fanatic would know, Disney definitely has a dark side to be reckoned with. But with this film, the darkest side of Disney LIVES in this film. It’s a film so creepy even Disney wishes people would forget exists. I would say it’s about as close as Disney gets to horror. With its storyline, incredible villain, and nightmare fuel but with warmth, I can safely say this is the perfect Halloween movie.

Orphan
For all fans of thrillers with a dark plot (not horror movies with loads of jumpscares haha), "Orphan" will be one of the best choices! Great acting by Isabelle Fuhrman (and the rest of the cast, to be honest), the dark atmosphere of the movie, and the unexpected plot twist will put you in a perfect Halloween mood. The story is about a girl who was adopted by a calm and loving family. After some time it turns out that this girl will bring a lot of problems to her new home. The second part: "Orphan: First Kill", was released recently and I pinned all my hopes on it after I was fascinated by the previous part, but in my opinion, it was worse. There are elements of comedy during the film, which distorts the idea of the thriller a bit and some scenes are exaggerated, but it's worth watching to complete the story for yourself. So take popcorn (or some other snack), wrap yourself in a blanket, and turn on "Orphan" because you won't regret it. Enjoy!

Midsommar: Terror Waits Not For Night" This movie is the perfect proof that horror movies don't need to give unexpected scares to provoke a thousand emotions in their viewers. A group of friends decides to take a flight to Sweden, not knowing that they will never return home. I assure you that what happened in that place will take away your sleep. Who would fuse fear with something that seems innocent at first glances, like a summer surrounded by flowers? Ari Aster, director of this film.

The Shining

We don't celebrate Halloween here in South Africa, but I do like horror movies LOL.....The Shining has to be one of the greatest Horror films of all time. The thrilling sensation of the acting, cinematography, and music is just amazing. Jack Nicholson's acting blows you away its that good, the way his ability to switch between emotions in his acting and speaking his lines is that good you would barely believe his human. Shelly Duvall does a great job in her role. Let's be honest, it's not easy to act so scared and terrified in front of a camera for countless scenes. Shelly lost her hair she was that stressed, but that shows how devoted she was to her role. Danny Lloyd is out of this world, to have a boy as young as he was acting the way he did, could nearly seem impossible. All three of them and the rest of the cast did amazing. And Stanley Kubrick of course. Let's be honest there wouldn't have been this film without him. Watching behind the scenes of the shining and watching the way Stanley was working with the cast and crew showed how dedicated he was to the role. He just knew exactly what he was doing and what he wanted. Though it did get stressful at times with him, the cast, and the crew. They all did an exceptional job in making the movie, what a masterpiece.

The favorite time of year for horror movie fans is approaching. Halloween night is the perfect context to enjoy films that have suspense and drama as protagonists. Here I recommend five Chilean horror films that you can watch for free on Ondamedia, the Chilean film platform developed by the Chilean Ministry of Culture, Arts, and Heritage.
How to use it? Very simple, register on the site and you will have access to see 8 free monthly audiovisual works that will be renewed month after month always for the same amount. Eye, they can be used only in Chilean territory (so if you like any of these movies, come to Chile and you can see them for free on the audiovisual platform)

To evaluate the construction of a dam on the site. But they realize that the forest is haunted and they can hear the spirits of Mapuche warriors who fell in the Arauco war 500 years ago.

The wolf house
A young woman takes refuge in a house in the middle of the forest after escaping from a German colony in southern Chile.

The world is attacked by a strange virus that turns people into zombies. In this apocalyptic scenario, a group of children are immune to the deadly contagion. Led by Camille, a nine-year-old girl, they will try to protect themselves from both the zombies and the military who are exterminating them at all costs.
