Holiday Movie Recommendations

It's Christmas and New Years time , so grab some cocoa, wrap yourself in a blanket and enjoy a movie. If you don't know what to see, here are our recommendations.🍿

White Christmas

‧1954 ‧ Musical/Romance ‧

A successful song-and-dance team become romantically involved with a sister act and team up to save the failing Vermont inn of their former commanding general.

Anna @anna.chrapchynski

"Since I was a little girl my Dad always played Bing Crosby during Christmas it never feels like Christmas until I hear his voice. So my first recommendation is White Christmas.

Crosby teaming up with Danny Kaye as crooning World War II GIs who attempt to save their old commanding officer's country inn with the help of a sister act (Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen). Fun Fact: Rosemary Clooney is the aunt of George Clooney"

Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas

‧ 2004 ‧ Family/Animation ‧

Rebecca @rebe_olivarez

"Well, I want to recommend a movie that I loved when I was very little, that was part of my childhood. The movie is called Mickey upon twice a Christmas🎄

The film is about Disney tales, they have different stories about the friendship between Minnie and Daisy, a teamwork of the brothers Huey, Dewey and Louis, the love and appreciation of Max with his father Goofy, Donald's gift to pass it on well with his beloved Daisy and his nephews and finally the love and friendship between Mickey and Pluto "

Your Christmas or Mine?

‧ 2022 ‧ Romance/Comedy ‧

Hayley and James are young and in love. They both make the same mad split-second decision to swap trains and surprise each other. Passing each other in the station, they are completely unaware that they have just swapped Christmases.

Karolina @karix.275

"Your Christmas or Mine?" with Asa Butterfield and Cora Kirk in the lead role. The first movie I watched this Christmas season! What's more, I can honestly recommend it if you want to see a funny and romantic movie that will put you in the right mood Enjoy!"

The Nightmare Before Christmas

‧ 1993 ‧ Fantasy/Musical ‧

Katrina @katgirlsings

"If you’re someone who loves the festivities of the Holidays but can’t seem to let go of Halloween, here you get the best of both worlds but Tim Burton’s masterpiece The nightmare before Christmas directed by Henry Selick. This film based off Tim Burton’s poem which was his own twist of the classic poem The night before Christmas. With it’s colorful cast of characters, music by Danny Elfman (also the singing voice for Jack Skellington and voice actor or Barrel), you can’t go wrong with this Holiday film. However, what’s just about as intriguing as the movie is it’s story surrounding the film. During its time whole concept of combining the two seemingly polar opposite Holidays was incredibly controversial and it never made it into the theaters. Yet, as people fell in love with this film, it rose out of the ashes like a Phoenix and became a cult classic which is a rarity."

A Christmas Carol

‧ 2009 ‧ Fantasy/Family ‧

An animated retelling of Charles Dickens' classic novel about a Victorian-era miser taken on a journey of self-redemption, courtesy of several mysterious Christmas apparitions.

Sonia @e_aidansarmyyy

"I recommend the movie "scrooge's ghosts" because it is very amazing and Christmassy, I love watching it on these dates and the film teaches a revealing message that introduces a concept of doing good and receiving benefits in return. Watching the movie gives a very curious feeling but at the same time a bit scary and with a bit of comedy but I love it a lot, I recommend it 😉🎄✨"

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

‧ 1989 ‧ Comedy/Slapstick ‧

Clark Griswold is really into Christmas and promises to make it a good one until he turns everything completely around, causing a domino effect of disasters.

Jaeden @Jaeden_5691

"Hello! I recommend National Lampoon Christmas Vacation. Because it’s a homey feel type movie, and always gets me into the christmas sprit! ❤️"

A Shoe Addict's Christmas

‧ 2018 ‧ Fantasy/Romance ‧

Flor @delgadozami

"You can enjoy them with the whole family"

Noelle's life stopped when her boyfriend broke up with her on Christmas Eve three years ago. A handsome fireman moves in above her. She gets locked in at work in a department store all alone save the ghost of Christmas past.
